AI-Assisted Offensive Security

Aethermark Systems develops and evaluates open-source, Linux-native, Python-based architectures for human-directed offensive cybersecurity research.

The research problem

Modern offensive-security investigations produce large volumes of fragmented information. This can include service discoveries, source-code observations, protocol behavior, credentials, hypotheses, failed approaches, binary artifacts, network captures, and vulnerability evidence.

General-purpose AI assistants can analyze portions of this information, but isolated chatbot sessions often duplicate work, lose technical context, pursue unsupported assumptions, and fail to preserve a coherent investigation history.

Aethermark is developing systems intended to address these limitations by coordinating multiple models, deterministic tools, shared technical memory, and human decision-making within one structured research environment.

Architecture

A collaborative technical system

Individual AI models can assume specialized roles while sharing evidence, technical context, investigative history, and human-defined objectives.

DIRECT

Technical Direction

Prioritize investigative paths, assign specialized analysis, reconcile competing hypotheses, and keep testing aligned with authorized scope.

RECON

Reconnaissance Analysis

Organize asset information, identify exposed services, summarize application behavior, and produce testable attack-surface hypotheses.

ANALYZE

Deep Technical Analysis

Examine source code, protocols, binaries, traffic, application logic, authorization boundaries, and potential vulnerability chains.

EXECUTE

Tool Integration

Connect AI reasoning to Linux utilities, Python automation, scanners, debuggers, packet-analysis tools, and purpose-built validation scripts.

REMEMBER

Shared Investigation Memory

Preserve commands, outputs, evidence, failed tests, assumptions, artifacts, and unresolved questions across models and research sessions.

VERIFY

Human Validation

Keep authorization, scope control, exploitation decisions, evidence review, and disclosure under direct human oversight.

Technical stack

Linux, Python, open source, and AI

The research stack is designed to remain transparent, adaptable, reproducible, and technically inspectable.

Linux

Linux provides the operational foundation for networking, automation, reverse engineering, service analysis, isolation, and controlled experimentation.

Workflows are designed around reproducible command-line environments rather than opaque, platform-dependent processes.

Python

Python serves as the primary language for orchestration, API interaction, data processing, evidence handling, tool integration, automation, and rapid security prototyping.

Open Source

Open-source components support transparent methods, reproducible experiments, independent evaluation, extensibility, and interoperability with established security tools.

Artificial Intelligence

Large language models and specialized local models operate as analytical components inside a broader technical workflow.

AI assists with reconnaissance, synthesis, hypothesis generation, code analysis, and investigation management. Findings remain subject to technical validation.

Authorized environments
